NBC News lights up Rockefeller Center with election coverage
NBC News is using its journalists’ newsroom to broadcast the Presidential election. Besides its main studio, which boasts various video walls with data-driven and brand-consistent graphics, NBC News is having its anchors present with its journalists in the background, gathering the information in real-time. In the main studio, a red, white, and blue virtual Rockefeller Center stands tall behind the talent.
Mixing virtual elements with a real environment is ambitious when considering that a consistent high-quality experience is the standard audience expectation, no matter how they are viewed. The virtual elements are powered by Viz Engine 5’s integration with Unreal Engine, supporting the dynamic broadcast created by NBC News.
