Sorin Popa lives in Bucharest, Romania and is currently working as HoD Graphics (Vizrt – News, Production, Virtual Studios) at Digi24 HD. His educational background is Acting and Directing at Hyperion University in Bucharest.
He began working in Viz Artist in august 2007 at Realitatea TV (24/7 news channel) when they decided to move all their on-air graphics to Vizrt. Before that, the workflow was set in other softwares that needed render time, which in a news enviroment is less productive.
Sorin has worked at several other stations using Viz Artist over the last 6 years. From 2008 to 2011 at Pro TV, and 2011 until present at Digi 24 HD.
“As of last year (February 2012) at Digi 24 HD, I have started working with Virtual Studios, in which we are presenting most of the important local events like elections, channel campaigns and a considerable number of tv-shows.”
