Israel held its third hotly contested election in that past twelve months to determine the Prime Minister of the country. The latest election was covered live by all major Israeli news channels. Each broadcaster used software-defined visual storytelling (#SDVS) technologies from Vizrt to visually convey incoming results and tell the story in real time. Live telecasts featuring captivating graphics and virtual sets detailing the national vote were shown on Kan 11, Channel 12 (Keshet 12), Channel 13 (Reshet 13), Channel 20 and i24 News.
For all election night coverage, SegevSport, Vizrt’s partner in Israel, helped convert the data-driven information into viewer-friendly graphics that created a visual picture for the audience as the results were counted.
“It’s amazing to see that all of Israel’s main channels featured on-air graphics, augmented reality (AR), virtual sets and video walls which were all created and controlled by Vizrt tools”
Michael Namatinia
President of Vizrt APAC
Viz Pilot, a cross-platform template-based system to create graphics, was used to bring voting results to air quickly and reveal them as captivating graphical imagery.
Viz Trio was employed to create and display character generated titles and voting information as lower-third screen graphics.
Viz Artist enabled designers to design and build AR objects, complex 3D animations and virtual sets. Viz Engine, the ultimate real-time compositor, was used to render all visual elements such as 3D renditions of government buildings, charts, maps and other on-air graphics.
Viz Multiplay, a content control for all displays, was used to manage all the video walls in the news studio.
The channels have been successful at presenting their news with visual elements especially during election time. This has proven to be an effective way to connect with the audience and deliver information in an interesting manner which makes the viewing experience even more engaging. These broadcasters are constantly striving to enhance their storytelling capabilities. With Vizrt technologies, they can maximize their creativity even further.
Vizrt’s software-defined visual storytelling (#SDVS) tools are designed to help broadcasters tell more stories better.
“We are proud to be the chosen technology partner of the Israeli broadcast stations. Together with our local partner, SegevSport, we are committed to continuously supporting each channel to make their live productions more efficient and bring their visual storytelling to the next level”
