New York, U.S.A — 5 February 2024—Vizrt, the leader in real-time graphics and live production solutions for content creators, today shares the news that Thomas Nelson has been promoted to Global Vice President of Key Accounts at Vizrt. With a firm focus on expanding the Americas market, Nelson will be responsible for key accounts as well as business development.
Nelson has over 20 years of experience within the media tech market, with the past 15 years at Vizrt. Beginning his career at TV 2 Norway in sports production, he moved to Vizrt Australia in 2008 and since has held senior leadership positions in Asia Pacific and Europe before increasing his remit to the U.S in 2023.
Taking on roles of increasing responsibility over the years, Nelson has specialist technical knowledge, and business experience leading international customer account teams. With a deep understanding of the Vizrt ecosystem, the wider industry, and its opportunities, Nelson is ready to support Vizrt customers in the Americas by ensuring he utilizes his expertise to drive value, efficiencies, and business success.
His commitment to supporting innovation across customer accounts has also been instrumental in driving adoption and expanding Vizrt’s event-based and live sports offerings to a wider audience.
The appointment of Thomas comes after a period of transformation for Vizrt, including the unification of the organization’s product portfolio, bringing together its NewTek and Vizrt brands, and the growth of its customer success department.
Vizrt’s customer success function is its second largest department behind R&D, with nearly 25% based across the America’s market. The team works closely with Vizrt’s customers, alongside account managers, to streamline and improve the full customer experience from on-boarding to service, support, and learning and certification through Viz University.
To further support Nelson, Vizrt is expanding the U.S team with several new positions within its key account organization. Vizrt will also be hosting a series of events with its customers and partners across the U.S., beginning in its New York office later this month, to showcase its latest innovations across news, sports, live production, and more.
