Viz Video Hub 1.2.1 released

The latest Viz Video Hub 1.2.1 is a minor release update.

It is recommended for users who require the new features and bug fixes or for new installations.

If you plan to upgrade from an older version, it is recommended to upgrade to this version.

New Features:

  • Now supports Image metadata; Import and export of metadata from/to images (EXIF).
  • Now has a simplified configuration of Services, Service Groups and Control Rooms through the web interface.
  • Now supports non-alphanumeric characters (including åäöü and space) in filenames for import.
  • Improved error messages for failed imports of unsupported file formats.
  • VVH 1.2 also offers full support for MXF-wrapped DV100 720p50 and 720p60. Combining VVH with a Viz Video Engine (VVE) allows you to ingest, cut, integrate with Final Cut Pro and perform play out.
  • VVH now also includes Viz Ingest Manager, which allows easy scheduling of ingests across several video servers.

Bug Fixes:

  • DB Backup on VVH Extended: DB Backup did not work on VVH Extended setups.
  • Transfer method FTP was not handling file timeouts correctly
  • Show status of SCP transfers
  • Servmond's filemon worker did not verify SFLs that had been marked for deletion
  • Fixed the image import module
  • Fixed play out transfers that failed due to different size of source and destination file
  • Fixed auto imports that sometimes failed when samba was used to push the file to the drop folder

Important notes:

All standard VVH 1.0 and 1.1 systems can be upgraded to 1.2.1 automatically by the installer.
