Viz Content Pilot 5.4.0 is a minor release with some new features, and bug fixes.

It is recommended as an update to all previous 5.x installations, as well as for new installations.

Viz World Client and Server version 10.1 is a minor release of what was previously known as Viz Curious Maps Client and Server. As of version 10.1, Vizrt will use a new branding (including new names) for the Viz World and Viz Curious Maps solutions.

The Viz Curious Maps brand is kept for the standalone mapping tool whereas the Viz World name is what will be used for our server/client based mapping platform.

Names and abbreviations have been changed in order to reflect the branding change:

• Viz World Server (WoS) instead of Viz Curious Maps Server (CMS)
• Viz World Client (WoC) instead of Viz Curious Maps Client (CMC)

Viz Graphic Hub version 2.2 is a minor release.

This version is recommended for users running Viz Engine and Viz Artist 3.x, or for new installations.

Viz Weather version 2.1 is a major release update.

This Viz Weather version makes use of an Oracle database for saving weather points information. The release includes the new database configuration tool, database management tool and migration tool for upgrading from Viz Weather 1.X to Viz Weather 2.X.

Viz Weather 2.1 is the first official release using Oracle database, however, pre releases are already deployed in several Vizrt customer sites and succesfully used On-Air.

It is recommended for all Viz Weather users. An Upgrade from previous Viz Weather versions should be coordinated with Vizrt support.

Viz Datapool version 2.11.6 is a maintenance release. It mainly includes bug fixes and few minor new features.

It is recommended for users who require these new features & bugfixes, or for new installations.

Viz Video Wall ER version 2.7.0 is a major release update.

It is recommended for users who require the new features, or for new installations.

Viz Trio 2.9.3 and Viz Media Sequencer Engine 1.19.3 are maintenance releases that contains a number of fixed issues.

It is recommended for users who require the fixed issues of Viz Trio 2.9, or for new installations. Note that the Viz Media Sequencer Engine 1.19.3 has an important fix related to Transition Logic.

If you plan to upgrade from older versions, it is recommended to upgrade to these versions.

Viz Content Pilot 5.3.1 is a maintenance release with some fixed issues.

We are pleased to announce the release of Viz Engine and Viz Artist version 3.2.5. The latest version is a maintenance release, and is strongly recommended for users upgrading from Viz Engine and/or Viz Artist 3.x, and for new installations.

Viz Video Hub 2.1.0 is a minor release.

It is recommended for users who require the new features and bug fixes or for new installations.

The Viz NLE Plug-in version 1.3.4 is a maintenance release that fixes integration issues related to the Quantel NLE system.

For installations on other systems we recommend version 1.5 for Avid users and 1.0 for Final Cut users.

Version 10.0 of Viz Curious Maps (CM) standalone, Client (CMC) and Server (CMS) is a major release which also includes a new Bartholomew database, many new features and bug fixes.

Viz Curious Maps installers are now united in 2 installers: Viz Curious Maps Data - Contains the Bartholomew database. Viz Curious Maps Software - Contains updates for all of Curious Standalone applications.

Viz Pixel FX version 1.0 is the first formal release of Vizrt’s newest plug-in package that allows color correction and image manipulation in VizEngine.

The latest Viz NLE Plug-in for Windows is a minor update, and is now an AVX2 plug-in for Avid NLE systems that support AVX2 effects. Most recent systems (2006 and later) support AVX2.

The latest Viz NLE Plug-in for Mac is a bug-fix version.

Like the Mac-based plug-in, the Windows-based plug-in now comes with its own configuration interface. In addition it also has a new performance analyzer interface for tuning the NLE system.

Viz Weather version 1.12 is a minor release update.

When upgrading VCP, it is strongly recommended to upgrade to MSE version 1.18, as well as the Viz Multiplexer & Extra Viz Plugins (if used) versions released with this package. If you cannot upgrade the related components, consider that some of the new features will not work properly.

In any case, it is best to coordinate this upgrade with your local Vizrt support team.

Version 8.3.1 of Viz Curious Maps Client (CMC) is a minor bugfix release updating the previous official release (8.3)

It is recommended for users who require the included bugfixes or for new installations.

The Server does not require an update, but must be installed with version 8.3.

If you plan to upgrade from an older version, it is recommended to wait for the next major release of 8.5, coming soon.

This is a minor update release.

New options added to the Background Renderer, and some bugs fixed.

Viz Engine & Viz Artist version 2.8 Patch Level 5 Hotfix 3 is a minor bugfix version.

It is recommended for users running Viz Artist and Viz Engine on Panasonic CGP platforms, for Viz NLE users, and all other users who operate Viz Engine & Viz Artist 2.8 PL 5.

Version 8.3 of Viz Curious Maps Client (CMC) and Server is an update to the previous 8.2.1 release.

This version is fully compatible with Viz Engine 2.x and 3.x.

The update is recommended for all customers that are interested in the new features described below. It is also highly recommended for customers that operate Viz Engine and Viz Artist 3.x together with Viz Weather as this version includes many bugfixes related to the Viz Engine 3.x support.

This is a minor update release.

Major new feature is the Background Renderer, see details below.

It requires a previous installation of the last major release, Version 8.0

Viz Engine and Viz Artist version 2.8 patch level 5, is the first official release to support the new Matrox X.mio2 boards. All Matrox X.mio2 users which currently use RC versions of Viz should upgrade to the official pl5. Note the information about the new Matrox SDK which is required.

Other than that, it is a bugfix version, with important bugfixes for Viz Artist and Viz Engine running on Panasonic CGP platforms.

There are some other bugfixes and new features, which are relevant to all users. If it is time to upgrade your installation, choose to upgrade directly to pl5.

The new Datapool version includes a few new plugins, some new features, enhancements and many bug fixes.

It was decided to skip the official release of version 2.8 and jump directly to 2.9.x. It is highly recommended for all 2.8 (unofficial) users to upgrade to the new 2.9.2 version.

Users Guide and Tutorial were updated to include the new features of this version.

Viz Client Side Library is for development partners and selected customers doing advanced operations with Viz products.

This version of CSL is asynchronous and event based, intended to be used for advanced GUI applications. It includes significant changes in the internal architecture and the API since previous 0.2.x versions.

This version is biased towards Viz Trio and Viz Ticker3D.

The latest addition to the NLE plug-in set, is the Mac-based NLE editor that integrates with Final Cut Studio 2 systems: Final Cut Pro, Motion and Final Cut Express.

Unlike the Windows-based plug-ins, the Mac-based NLE plug-in comes with its own user interface (Viz NLE Editor) and a configuration tool called Viz NLE Config. Viz NLE Editor supports browsing and previewing of Viz Trio templates and pages stored on the MSE in addition to images stored on the Viz Engine. The Viz NLE Config tool is for configuring the plug-in and Viz NLE Editor.

Viz Curious Maps Client (CMC) is used to integrate maps & geographical data into scenes. Installation files contain Plug-ins and the Viz Curious Maps Editor (CME) to be used by Viz Artist, Viz Trio, Viz Content Pilot or Viz Weather.

The version numbers of Viz Curious Maps Client (CMC) & Curious Maps Server (CMS) are now unified. As a result the CMC version number has jumped from 1.4.X to 8.2.
