Vizrt (Hall 2, Stand B10), www.vizrt.com, has announced a new partnership with Zurich-based LiberoVision, www.liberovision.com, (Hall 2, Stand C19), a leading global developer of 3D virtual sports enhancements. LiberoVision is integrating its dedicated Libero rendering engine software with Vizrt’s range of content production software. LiberoVision is well known within the sports broadcast community for its Emmy-nominated 3D technology for sports analysis and virtual replays. Customers include ESPN, NBC, BBC, ZDF, Sky Italia and Televisa.

At IBC2010, taking place at RAI Amsterdam from September 9-13, Vizrt (Hall 2, Stand B10), Vizrt will introduce Viz Weather 2.2 and Viz World 10.2. These latest versions of Viz Weather and Viz World enhance Vizrt’s extensive product line and strengthen its overall, integrated production workflow.

Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) and Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), two of the three major television networks in South Korea, set new benchmarks with their unprecedented coverage of the 2010 quadrennial, national Korean elections. While previous Korean national elections ended at midnight, this closely contested election ran well past midnight, causing both networks to stay live until 5 a.m.

At this year’s SIGGRAPH 2010 AMD had an eye catching wall of 40 displays, powered by 10 ATI FirePro™ V8800 graphics accelerators and Viz Video Wall ER™.

The audience at SIGGRAPH 2010 was blown away by the high resolution imagery and complex 3D animations that were displayed on the wall. Each display in the wall had a resolution of 1920x1200, giving a total resolution of 19200 x 4800 pixels or 92 Megapixels.
