Vizrt’s Media Asset Management division in New York is looking for System Engineers.

Vizrt creates leading-edge content production tools for the digital media industry – from award winning 3D graphics & maps through integrated video workflow solutions and online publishing tools. Leading broadcasters worldwide such as, CNN, Fox, NBC, ABC, ESPN, PGA and BBC utilize Vizrt solutions.

Job Description

The System Engineer is part of a Professional Services team out of Vizrt’s US headquarter in New York, setting up and configuring systems at customer sites, including integration with 3rd party hardware and software as well as developing site customizations. Vizrt has a full fledged Media Asset Management solution that is designed to be hardware agnostic and redundant. Tailoring of the system to customer specific needs and workflows is also an important part of the product. The systems themselves are typically large, both in terms of number of machines that leverage the solution but also in terms of integrations points.

Most of the work will be done from the Vizrt offices in New York with remote access to the customers systems, but there will also be significant opportunities to travel to customers.

Requirements

  • Master Degree in Computing Science or equivalent
  • Experience with software development in a Linux environment, with good knowledge in Perl, C++ and Javascript
  • Good knowledge in SOAP, XML schemas, HTML, SQL and operating system (Linux) near development and a merit to have good knowledge in REST architecture, Ajax and Web 2.0
  • Experience with broadcasting or video/audio technology is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Spanish is a major plus as we work with South and North American clients.
  • Self motivated and responsive to customer requirements.
  • Comfortable in technically complex environments.
