Experienced C# Developer needed for Advanced Product Development

Vizrt is a global IT-company with a broad product portfolio aimed at professional media companies. Vizrt-Ardendo is Vizrt’s Stockholm branch with responsibility for a product that handles media workflows at renowned companies around the world, like CNN in the US, BBC in the UK, SVT in Sweden and Network TEN in Australia.

Background

After a decade with MFC as a first hand choice when developing graphical user interfaces, we now need an experienced C# developer to handle a quick transition to .Net and WPF. To be able to meet customer demand our aim is to build an architecture with focus on extendibility and adaptability. Our applications handle video and audio and can among many different things perform advanced media editing and processing. A central area is the client-server architecture with http-based REST communication.

You will be stationed at our office in Kista, with around 85 colleagues, where we work in pleasant and open spaces. The working environment is international and creative. You will work with colleagues with many years of experience in client development and some years in C#/WPF.

Duties

You will be a central person in our development of next generation .Net clients and your experience will be needed to handle the challenges we face. You will also act as a mentor and teacher for the developers that need guidance in the new technology. You will participate in the whole development cycle; from problem definition to analysis, design and finally implementation and testing.

Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of work experience with a Masters Degree in computing or equivalent as a base
  • The most important requirement is that you have a long experience in C# and application development
  • Experience in the following additional areas is meriting:
    • Composte Application Library
    • C++ and the boost library
    • Testing and prototyping using Python
    • Dependency Injection
    • Unit testing
  • You are creative, full of initiatives and can deliver
  • You have good knowledge in English, both orally and in writing
