Taking interactivity to the next level
Norwegian broadcaster TV 2 has a history of capturing their viewers by using the latest technology for their election coverage. David Hoff is a Senior Developer for TV2 and talks about the development done for the 2009 election project.
Are simple touchscreens just a bit boring? David Hoff and his colleagues from the TV 2 Graphic Department thought so and decided to make this year's election something special, presentation wise. Instead of simply pressing buttons on a touch screen the team created a system that allowed the anchor to move around graphics, push them to other screens in the studio and zoom in and out of maps.
We asked him about his involvement in this project, and how they used scripting technology to make their interactive vision come true.
